The Artistry of Mattik the Don
Although his love for music began at a very young age, Mattik did not begin to create his own music until the age of 23 following the untimely demise of a very special cousin. He then devoted the years after to studying and practicing the art of lyricism, poetry, and songwriting initially under the alias Tuway, then Matt P, and then finally, his current stage name, Mattik. He has released 5 local projects, various tracks online, and premiered a Facebook rap compilation series entitled, “Instrumental Assassin”, which showcases his ability to rhyme to any instrumental of his viewers choice. One thing is for certain, it has all but become obvious, that this inspired, upcoming artist is destined for greatness.
About
Throughout his growth as an artist, he has encountered many obstacles along the way, but they would only ultimately serve as fuel to his seemingly ever burning fire. As a truly independent artist, so far he has written all of his lyrics, co-produced all of his studio sessions, and has recorded and mixed about half of his current material. All of this while being a loving husband, a devoted father, loyal son, and working a 9-5 job during the week to make ends meet as he pursues his career as a content creator, artist, poet & author.
